I head over to the zenith bank website, and after a few seconds their online chat pops up on my screen.

Within a few minutes, one of their agent named Yemi came online, and I told her that I want her assist me in retrieving my zenith bank account number as I can’t recall it anymore and don’t have access to the account cause it is dormant.

In order to verify that I’m one of their customers, the owner of said account, and looking for how to retrieve my account number, she asked some questions.

And the questions are;

1. Your full name
2. Address
3. Date of birth
4. Mother’s maiden name
5. Phone number used in registering your account
6. Your bank verification number
7. The state and location you created your account

The bank verification number isn’t compulsory cause you may have forgotten it as well, but your name and phone number is very important.

Immediately I provided her with the correct details, she ran a check on my account and within a few seconds, she gave me my account number.

2. Through email address

Please Note If it’s something delicate the bank will request that you contact them through email or go to any of their branches.

If you value your privacy so much I wouldn’t advise you to use social media to contact your bank, but if you don’t care at all, Facebook and Twitter are the fastest means of doing so.

OTHER MEANS OF RETRIEVING YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER

In the case that your bank account is fully active and not dormant, but you simply can’t remember it or where you saved it, these are the process of retrieving your account number.

2. Through used code

The ussd code is another method for solution to I forgot my bank account number.

If you have registered for mobile banking used code, you can easily retrieve your account number through it.

All you need to do is to dial your bank ussd code and check your account balance. The bank will display your account balance, bvn, and account number on your screen. Or you can dial your used code used in checking or account number.

3. Through the bank mobile app

4. Through the Internet banking
